#WWReadathon: Tease At Random Challenge

The Tease at Random Challenge is hosted by Claire at Project To Be Read. She asks the following:

For this challenge I would like you to tease me at random from your current read. All you need to do is to divide your book roughly into thirds and then randomly select two sentences from each third (so six in total) and put them together to hive a good tease.

My tease is from Boneshaker (Clockwork Century, #1) by Cherie Priest!

"When she got home, she'd tell him anything he wanted to know - any story, any fact. He could have it all if he'd just make it home alive." - Page 75

"At the sight of Swakhammer, several patrons tipped a mug in a passive greeting; but upon seeing Briar, the place fell silent except for the determined simple tune. Even the music stopped when the one-armed woman noted the newcomers." - Page 185

"Briar walked under the glittering lights and they seemed to turn as if to follow her - and they weren't crystals, they were glass bulbs and tubes, laced together with wires and gears. She tried not to stare, but failed." Page 317

#WWReadathon: Update #1

I totally forgot to list what I'm reading for this readathon! It's going to be hard considering I have so much stuff to do still this weekend... But we'll see what I get accomplished!

Progress: So far I'm about 59% done Boneshaker!

Wicked Winter Read-A-Thon Start-up Post!

Hey Guys! I’m finally off work for the week so that means it's officially time for the Wicked Winter Read-A-Thon! This is my first read-a-thon so I'm super excited. It looks like there are going to be some awesome prizes and challenges. If you're interested in participating, you can still sign up over at Kindle Fever.

Our wonderful hosts are Rebecca from Kindle Fever and April from My Shelf Confessions. Here's a little overview of this read-a-thon, courtesy of Rebecca:

The Wicked Winter Read-A-Thon is a time when we all get together to dedicate the weekend of February 3-5 to as much reading as possible. You read as much as you can in order to get yourself a little further through that huge to-read pile! We know real life gets in the way and even if you can’t participate more than one day, you’re welcome to join in on the fun!

In the meanwhile, we will be hosting book-related challenges where you can win some awesome prizes and have a Twitter party at the hashtag #WWReadathon! You can posts updates on your blog, Twitter, Goodreads or Facebook — as long as the profile is public and we all can enjoy your reading progress! For this edition, we’ve also planned a chat surprise in order to include those who aren’t on Twitter in some chatting fun. But exactly what will happen is a surprise for now.

I may only be able to participate for one day, but I’m excited nonetheless! Anyone else participating!?
